Finding A Balance~
On average, people tend to eat meals that do not have a balance of nutrition. A proper nutrition involves having a balanced diet of carbohydrates, protein, fruit and vegetable, and dairy without artificial preservative, flavourings, high-fats foods, excess sugar and salt. A healthy balanced diet will also mean that the foods you eat will have sufficient fibre and vitamins that your body needs.
Whether you decide to eat only organic food, become a vegetarian or vegan, or simply cook all your meals, it is important to understand that a healthy diet does not just mean what you eat. It also necessary to consider how much you eat. As the saying goes, "everything in moderation", and as such, there must be limits to eating even the most healthy foods or taking the best supplements.
The first step to getting healthy is to follow some basic lifestyles guidelines;
- Maintain a healthy diet balanced diet:
- Don't skip breakfast or any meal
- Eat more vegetables and fruits
- Eat less salt, sugar and fats
- Exercise more
- Try to get at least 30 minutes of moderate to high-intensity exercise a day(or at least 4 times a week)
- Stay hydrated
- Drink plenty of plain water, not sweetened or caffeine drinks
- Get enough of rest and sleep
- At least 7 to 8 hours of undisturbed sleep a night is essential- for health and also for skin condition
- Manage your stress level in a positive way;
- Find ways to relax. Practice a hobby, learn a new language, go to a concert or take short weekend breaks. Malaysia has plenty to offer such as parks, forest reserves for exploring, beautiful beaches and indoor and outdoor recreational facilities. Exercise is of the great stress reliever.
- Stop smoking and stop, or at least reduce, alcohol consumption;
- Cigrattes have more than 400 toxic substances in and that is what you are inhaling into your lungs, heart, kidneys and attire body
- Alcohol has excess empty calories which can turn into fat.
